Karma
The role of the Buddhist teacher, vis-à-vis the Buddhist monk-in-training, is to explain your options and to show you what creates karma.  All our discussions are basically karmic until you're fully engaged in samadhi, when you can go into the breathless state for an hour or two a day, where you basically don't breathe and there's no thought in the mind.  At that point the teaching process changes and we don't really discuss karma, we start to discuss the nonbinding states of reality, which are above the higher astral.
