Enlightenment doesn't occur by accident.  It's a deliberate decision that someone makes again and again, day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year, lifetime after lifetime.  It's something that you grow in and develop in.  When you could be sloppy you're not; when you could be sad, you laugh instead.  If you fall down, you pick yourself up and begin again and again and again.
