Intelligence, on the other hand, is the apprehension of the newness of each moment and being creative, not just sitting there and if there's nothing good on TV being frustrated, but shutting the thing off, disconnecting it and going and taking up kayaking or cross-country skiing or something. Do something. Don't be in the waiting room -- waiting, waiting, waiting for the perfect person, the perfect career, the perfect meditation teacher, whatever it is. Just go do something, something fun, something bright. Learn something. Be a student of life.
